HOW TO ADOPT
We want to make the process of adopting a pet as simple as possible.
1. Fill out the Pet Matchmaking Form.
2. Call us at 254-709-9955 to make an appointment to visit.
3. Meet your possible pet and see if it is a good match for your home. You can also "meet" a pet via video conference first!
4. If your pet is already spayed/neutered, it can go home the same day!
BEFORE YOU ADOPT

Prepare your home. Pets are like us! They need food, water, toys, bedding, - and they will also need collars and leashes. Consider what you may need to have ahead of time.

Make a list of what you’d like in a pet. For example, would you like to take an animal that could play with the kids, or a pet that likes to sit in your lap and cuddle?

Giving a special animal their forever home, is a big responsibility. Commit yourself to providing a good home for your new pet.

Give yourself and your pet time to adapt and be patient.
ADOPTION FEES

Adoption fees are generally paid for but will be determined on a case by case basis. Should not exceed the fees of the Waco Humane Society.

All pets leaving the shelter are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated
